El cuerpo va al museo (The body goes to the museum) is a short contemporary dance piece for an audience of all ages created by choreographers Lucía Bernardo and Cristina Henríquez. It is an adaptation for the Museo de América cloister of the work La sorprendente historia de un cuerpo desplegable (The surprising story of a folding body). On this occasion, adults and children alike will enjoy a performance using the human body to explore the respiratory and bone systems.

The Somosdanza company, directed by Cristina Henríquez and Lucía Bernardo, was created in 2008. Since 2012 the company has been specialising in the presentation of contemporary dance for audiences of all ages. Its production Una historia de la danza. Transfórmate gives an overview of dance in the 20th century. La sorprendente historia de un cuerpo desplegable offers a poetic and educational trip around the human body for children.
